Diane Wood, Program Specialist, Office of Unemployment Insurance, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration

This year states will be transitioning to serve a new population consisting of claimants most likely to exhaust their benefits and claimants receiving Unemployment Compensation for Ex-service-members (UCX). Per UIPL No. 13-15, Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Unemployment Insurance (UI) Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Grants, funds will be available as part of the 2015 RESEA grant to program these changes. In addition the Department will offer training to state staff to develop a Worker Profiling and Reemployment Services (WPRS) model that targets the right claimants for service. Funding will also be used to provide reemployment services to RESEA participants for the first time. The information from this webinar will be helpful to states submitting Supplemental Budget Request for RESEA funding to continue or to implement an RESEA program.
