This webinar is a live question-and-answer session on the Eligible Training Provider provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), as outlined in TEGL 41-14.

In preparation for this webinar, participants should:

  1. View the pre-recorded webcast,
  2. Read TEGL 41-14, and
  3. Submit your questions to dol.wioa@dol.gov in advance of the webinar.

Description

State and local staff involved in establishing criteria, approving applications, disseminating the list of approved providers, or other similar activities should attend. Just as the TEGL and Webcast mentioned above, this live question-and-answer session will focus on the first year of implementation of the eligibility provisions at WIOA Sec. 122.

Participants in need of training services to enhance their job readiness or career pathway may access career training through a list of state-approved training providers. Participants can select from the list of eligible training provider (ETP) programs that meet their needs. WIOA builds upon and modifies the system in place under WIA. This question-and-answer session will clarify those changes to assist states and workforce development boards in adjusting their processes to comply with WIOA requirements.
