This webinar will cover various elements surrounding the Uniform Guidance that will aid the Federal award recipient community in properly administering their grant awards.

Description

The broad topics will include a brief history of the Uniform Guidance, an overview of each section in the Uniform Guidance, a few key points from the new guidance, how the uniform guidance applies to your grant award, the applicability of old or new guidance for individual awards and requesting a modification to move to the new guidance.

On December 26, 2013, The Office of Management and Budget issued Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards Final Rule (Uniform Guidance) and the Department of Labor officially adopted the Uniform Guidance with DOL specific exceptions on December 19, 2014 with that being the effective date. As the official title of the Uniform Guidance implies, it streamlines 8 previous Federal government circulars on administrative requirements, cost principles and audit requirements for Federal awards into one uniform regulation. The Uniform Guidance applied to all new awards or funds awarded on or after December 26, 2014. While many items contained in the Uniform Guidance are carryovers form previous guidance, there are some notable changes. This webinar will cover applicability of the Uniform Guidance to current and future DOL grant recipients as well as the steps needed to ensure compliance.
