This conference serves as a critical foundation to support grantees in achieving the primary goal of the H-1B Ready to Work (RTW) program, which is to help the long-term unemployed (LTU) get back to work. The H-1B RTW grantee conference will feature two breakout sessions that will be delivered online through a virtual platform at the conference, allowing grant staff not attending the conference in-person to join this session virtually. For RTW grant staff not attending the conference, if you would like to join this session virtually, please reserve a seat.

On Day 1 of the conference (October 14th),a breakout session on outreach recruitment,"Social Media Networking Strategies to Identify and Recruit LTU", will be held at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

This virtually-led session will provide a combination of presentation and group discussion to provide a shared definition of social networking, understand its unparalleled potential to connect with the LTU, its ability to establish online communities, and the domino effect to connect with the connections of other members

Objectives:

  • Learn how to choose the best social media networking service(s) for your organization.
  • Understand how to manage social media for recruiting, connecting, and communicating with the long-term unemployed, program participants, and partners.
