The next H-1B Ready to Work (RTW) Long-Term Unemployed (LTU) Subject Matter Expert webinar, “How to Motivate the LTU: Behaviors, Attitudes and Engagement Strategies to Improve Participant Retention and Job Placements,” on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 at 11:30 p.m. (ET) will focus on strategies to building motivation, engagement and participation for support the long-term unemployed from the very first moment of interaction with the applicant.

LTU Subject Matter Expert Jodie Sue Kelley, one of the highest rated presenters at the DOL's H-1B RTW Grantee Conference, will provide strategies on how to engage participants the right way, ask motivational interview questions, avoid de-motivation and re-engage participants who have lost their steam. Ms. Kelley’s presentation will also address how to assess and coach clients to be "job ready" and how to get employers involved.

This interactive, fast-paced webinar will focus on practical ideas and concepts that you can use right away. Jodie Sue Kelley, of Cygnet Associates, has extensive workforce development experience and is the author of two handbooks, Job Development Made(Much!) Easier and Keeping the Client: A Strategy for Program and Job Retention. Her depth of experience and humorous touch make her a very popular trainer and speaker.

This webinar is targeted for Ready to Work (RTW) grantee key personnel program managers,program coordinators,case managers,training partners,and supportive services personnel providing assessments,job coaching, and employment placement strategies. This discussion session will also provide grantees the opportunity to hear from fellow grantee guest speakers, share experiences in these areas, and ask guest speaker Ms. Kelley post webinar follow-up questions.
