In a word, "efficacious," describes two states' designs for conducting Reemployment and Eligibility Assessments (REAs). Maine and Rhode Island have developed REA programs that maximize the time that REA participants spend in the American Job Center.

These states have plotted the course of their REA programs in such a way that individuals benefit from a complete understanding of available reemployment services, and with expert state staff, take an active part in developing meaningful individual reemployment plans.
