State-Level 101: The State’s Crucial Role in Seeding and Supporting Sector Partnerships

While successful sector partnerships are built at the local and regional levels, states have a major role to play in developing a fertile landscape for sector partnerships to flourish. T his session will focus on the fundamentals of seeding sector partnerships. The speakers will focus on six core state supports that are fundamental to seeding and supporting successful partnerships and discuss how these are carried out in their respective state. These include: shared vision and goals; good industry data analysis tools; local capacity building; awareness building; administrative and legislative support; and performance measurement.
