Ready to Work (RTW) grantees are invited to participate in the upcoming webinar “How to Develop Paid Internship and Work Experience (PWE) Opportunities” Led by Subject Matter Expert Russell Hamm, Ph.D., this webinar will focus on the technical assistance resource, Internship and PWE Toolkit: Creating and Conducting Successful Work-Based Learning Experiences for Participants.

Description

The webinar will provide a platform for RTW grantees to interact directly with your colleagues and to engage in a dynamic conversation on best practices for developing internships and PWE opportunities with employer partners to assist in placing long term unemployed individuals into rapid re-employment opportunities. Russell Hamm will also facilitate a question and answer segment at the end of the webinar. Discussion highlights will focus on the following:

  • Describe the purpose of the Internship & PWE Toolkit and its resources;
  • Discuss best practices, key components and successful models of various types of PWE;
  • Discuss strategies for inclusion of employers in the development of these activities;
  • Learn about the action steps required to develop an internship and/or PWE, including how to engage your employer partners to be active participants; and
  • 30 minutes of Q&A and facilitated questions.
