1:00 PM ~ 1:30 PM ET
On June 22, 2016, from 1:00 – 1:30 PM (EST), the Employment and Training Administration's Division of Youth Services will host a webinar entitled GetMyFuture: Getting Career and Job Information into the Hands of Youth. Webinar participants will get a brief, virtual demonstration of GetMyFuture.org, a mobile-friendly web application (app) that helps youth plan their careers, explore education and training options, and search and apply for jobs.
Description
The app is one of many resources found at CareerOneStop, a website to help people plan and achieve their career, education, and employment goals. Developed with input from young adults and program providers, GetMyFuture.org includes career interest assessments, interactive informational videos, job search engines, a scholarship finder, and tips and best practices for employment. The app also connects young people to in-person career services and resources to overcome the challenges of addiction; homelessness; criminal conviction; or a lack of financial, family or community support. This is one tool that should be in the hands of every young person! We look forward to sharing this exciting, new resource with all of you!
