About

Six months after the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) National Convening, and only weeks after WIOA Final Rules were made publicly available, leaders from Federal agencies—U.S. Departments of Education, Labor, and Health and Human Services—will reconvene to celebrate the two-year anniversary of WIOA.

Moderator

Gerri Fiala, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Employment and Training Administration, U.S. Department of Labor

Presenter(s)

Susan Golonka, Acting Director of the Office of Family Assistance, Administration for Children & Families, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services

Janet LaBreck, Commissioner, Rehabilitation Services Administration, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, U.S. Department of Education

Johan E. Uvin, Acting Assistant Secretary, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, U.S. Department of Education

Sue Swenson, Acting Assistant Secretary, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, U.S. Department of Education

Portia Wu, Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration

More importantly, they want to begin addressing your initial questions on the final rule. In advance of the webinar, by July 12, 2016, please submit questions to: DOL.WIOA@dol.gov.

This webinar will celebrate the two-year anniversary of the passing of WIOA, answer some questions from the public workforce and education systems on the final rule, and provide a broad overview of what training and technical assistance is coming next. We hope you will join the ONE CONVERSATION as we continue to implement WIOA as ONE TEAM with ONE VISION!

PLEASE NOTE: If multiple participants from the same location are joining the live event, we encourage you to join at one location. This will allow for a larger number of participants to attend.
