With the passage of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), during grant year 2016-17, states are responsible for implementing a new competitive application process for all federal Adult Education and Family Literacy (WIOA Title II) funding that will determine the eligible providers that will be awarded funds starting July 1, 2017.

Description

Applicants are required to align their applications with approved WIOA local plans under section 108, and local workforce boards are required to review applications for such alignment and make recommendations to improve alignment to the State adult education office (eligible agency). Join us to learn more about the upcoming competition, key timelines, and your critical role in supporting program alignment under WIOA!
