Are you a workforce development training provider looking for curriculum that supports acquisition of industry-certified credentials? Have you found curriculum but need to tailor it to your own project goals?  In this webinar, participants will discover the benefits of working with a technology company to create a “makeover” of existing OER that has been deposited on SkillsCommons.

Description

Demonstrations of such a “Makeover” will be presented by showcasing the content “before” and “after.” Finally, participants will learn how to get connected with a technology company to create a “makeover” for their own project.

The US Department of Labor’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) program has created a free and open online library called SkillsCommons containing learning materials and program support materials for job-driven workforce development. The Open Educational Resources (OER) are produced by community colleges across the nation and can be found, reused, revised, retained, redistributed and remixed by individuals, institutions, and industry. This webinar is the second in a two-part webinar series focused on the resources and services available on SkillsCommons.org. Any provider of workforce development training can reuse these Open Educational Resources (OER) to support their training mission more cost-effectively and efficiently.
