About

On January 18, 2017, the Office of Apprenticeship’s updated regulations on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) became effective.   These new regulations will help ensure that the Registered Apprenticeship system reflects American businesses’ urgent need for a workforce that not only matches the skills they need, but also reflects the diversity of American workers and of businesses’ global customers.

Moderator

Zach Boren, Division Chief, Office of Apprenticeship, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration

Presenter(s)

Donna Lenhoff, Senior Advisor, Office of Apprenticeship, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration

Daniel Villao, Deputy Administrator, Office of Apprenticeship, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration

State Apprenticeship Agencies (SAAs) have an important role to play in ensuring that sponsors in their states have the benefit of these EEO regulations.

This webinar will provide SAAs, as well as members of State Apprenticeship Councils and other interested state stakeholders, with an overview of the new rule.  It will also inform them of the requirements and process for SAA states to bring their own laws, regulations, and State EEO Plans into conformance.  Office of Apprenticeship staff are also invited to join the webinar.
