This monthly webinar series provides a regular platform for addressing the most difficult and asked-about topics in Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) performance reporting.  Each month, we will feature a different performance topic, such as considerations for the definition of exit, the nuances of the outcomes on credentials, and how to count a unique participant.

Description

The series also provides grantees the opportunity to submit their specific performance questions to DOL with ample opportunity to address them in a live format.

This month’s topic is “Tracking Outcomes Prior to Exit:  Who Counts Where and When?”  Last month, we covered how to count follow-up outcomes for participants, which always occur after exit (with the exception of wage increases for incumbent workers).  This month, we will discuss outcomes that occur prior to exit, or what we call the “Status Outcomes” (e.g., completers, retained in programs, etc.) and the “In-School Outcomes.”  We will cover how to accurately track participants into and/or out of each status once they enroll, which in-school outcomes to track depending on what status they are in and when they are in it, and when to stop tracking them completely. We will also go over some nuances of the In-School Outcomes, such as counting certificates and degrees accurately.

The second half of the Webinar will be devoted to responding to performance questions on this or other topics.  We will also answer any questions that went unanswered during the last Webinar, if appropriate to a Webinar format. If you have questions that you wish to have answered during the Webinar, we invite you to send them to the TAACCCT mailbox.  Questions will be pre-selected for discussion during each call.  The grantee who submitted the question will have an opportunity to discuss the issue in detail with TAACCCT staff, for their own benefit and other grantees listening on the call.  Questions that were not discussed on the call will be responded to by email or in a one-on-one call between the grantee and TAACCCT staff.

To participate, please send your questions to the TAACCCT mailbox (TAACCCT@dol.gov) and indicate “Webinar Performance Question” as the Subject by June 21, 2017. Be sure to include your name, grant name and number, email address, and phone#.  Please limit this email to performance questions.
