This monthly webinar series provides a regular platform for addressing the most difficult and asked-about topics in Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) performance reporting.  Each month, we will feature a different performance topic, such as considerations for the definition of exit, the nuances of the outcomes on credentials, and how to count a unique participant.

Description

The series also provides grantees the opportunity to submit specific performance questions to DOL (on any performance topic) with ample opportunity to address them in a live format.

This month’s featured topic is “Outcome Tracking: Putting it All Together and Using the Data.” During this webinar, we will do a short review of the four  different types of outcomes (status outcomes, in-school outcomes, follow up outcomes and special outcomes.) Then we will work through each type of outcome and demonstrate what kind of conclusions can be drawn from them. For example, you can use the performance outcomes to determine  the average number of certificates earned by each participant, the percent of your program’s completers that either go on to further education or gain employment, and what percent of incumbent workers are receiving a wage increase, just to name a few.

Knowing how to draw these conclusions from your performance data can not only help you gain a clearer picture of your program(s), but can also help you better understand the relationship between the different outcomes.

Following the featured topic we will address your performance questions on any topic.

To participate, please send your questions to the TAACCCT mailbox (TAACCCT@dol.gov) and indicate “Webinar Performance Question” as the Subject by July 28, 2017. Be sure to include your name, grant name and number, email address, and phone#.  Please limit this email to performance questions.
