The Women in Apprenticeship and Non-Traditional Occupations (WANTO) grantees are offering a webinar to assist OA-registered apprenticeship programs and State Apprenticeship Agencies (SAAs) to adhere to new regulations, and learn some best practices for implementing the new rules.

Description

Many provisions of the updated Apprenticeship EEO regulations (29 CFR part 30) went into effect on July 17, 2017 - this means many changes for those apprenticeship programs that are registered with the Federal Office of Apprenticeship (OA). If you are registered with OA, is your program ready for these changes?

In addition, before the updated Apprenticeship Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations apply to programs registered with a State Apprenticeship Agency (SAAs), the state must adopt, and OA must approve, a consistent State EEO Plan.  (State EEO Plans are usually adopted by state legislation or regulation.)

The deadline for SAAs’ submission of their updated State EEO Plan drafts to OA is January 18, 2018.  If you are an SAA, are you ready to meet this deadline?

If you run an apprenticeship program or an SAA, this is the webinar for you! It will outline the following:

  • Overview of Updated EEO Regulations (29 CFR 30)
  • Best Practices for Implementing the Regulations by Programs Registered With OA
  • Best Practices in Providing Anti-Harassment Training
  • Best practices for adopting consistent regulations by SAAs
  • An open Q&A session for webinar participants will follow the presentations.

Join us to learn some effective ways of implementing the regulations. This event is free; however, webinar space is limited – so please register.
