About
In July 2019, the State of Tennessee developed, organized, and hosted a Trade-focused three-day Dislocated Worker Conference. Tennessee’s ability to host benefited from the flexibility of the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program's employment and case management services and paid for, in part, using TAA Training and Other Activities Program funds.
Moderator
Susan Worden, Supervisory Program Analyst, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance, U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration
Presenter(s)
Robin Wright, TAA State Coordinator, Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development
Jamie Franklin, Program Grants Manager, Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development
Attendance included over 300 participants from 23 states and included representation from TAA, Trade Readjustment Allowance (TRA), Rapid Response, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I, Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessments (RESEA), Adult Education (AE), Unemployment Insurance (UI), and American Job Center (AJC) Welcome Staff. Come find out how Tennessee made this highly successful event a reality, and learn their "takeaways" for helping YOU to maximize the TAA Program in your state.
