The WORC Initiative enables impacted communities to propose projects that demonstrate the alignment of regionally driven, comprehensive approaches to addressing economic distress and the necessary workforce development activities to ensure a workforce capable of succeeding in current and future job opportunities.  This webinar is designed to discuss the recently-released Funding Opportunity Announcement with prospective applicants.

 

Description

The Employment & Training Administration (ETA), in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Delta Regional Authority, is hosting this webinar to discuss the requirements for applications for the recently published FOA, Workforce Opportunities for Rural Communities (FOA-ETA-20-04).  This FOA announced the availability of up to $29.2 million for grants to create economic prosperity and gainful employment opportunities for eligible residents of the Appalachian and Delta regions, enabling them to remain and thrive in these communities.

This webinar will discuss several topics important to prospective applicants including eligibility, grant requirements and allowable activities, performance reporting, and application procedures.
