Now, more than ever, virtual engagement is key to connecting youth to workforce development, education, and training activities.

Across the country, youth workforce programs are finding solutions to technology and internet access challenges. Programs are engaging youth virtually in job trainings, job shadows, hiring events, youth-facilitated meetings, and more.

Description

Join the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) as we exchange information about virtual engagement tools designed to assist professionals working with youth in the workforce system.

Organizations will share how they are reaching out and connecting to youth through:

  • Virtual Mentoring;
  • Virtual Job Fairs; and
  • Virtual Job Experiences.

Participants will learn about:

  • Different types of virtual workforce development tools and resources.
  • Creative ways to use social media, online tools, and websites to engage youth.

If you would like to share how your organization uses technology to engage youth or have questions you would like to submit regarding virtual services, please email youth.services@dol.gov.

ETA looks forward to continuing to support your work serving our nation’s most vulnerable young people.
