Resources to Support Career and Technical Education (CTE)
About
The new legislation, which goes into effect on July 1, 2019 and replaces the previous Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. CTE prepares individuals for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies and makes academic content accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context.
There are many intersections between CTE programs and the publicly-funded workforce system. To help you learn about some of the exciting and worthwhile initiatives, we have created this resource page that provides you with quick access to these resources. We will continue to add links to this page as we hear about more materials that showcase this important education and training approach.
